Creative Intents :
Luminary is a Video Toy made during a 2nd year project at ICAN - PARIS
The goal was to design a game system around the theme “Chasse” ( Hunt/Chase in French)
The Team wanted to create a game experience using gravitational physics in a 2D space
Concept :
Luminary is a 1 player video Toy where little spheres spawn at the limit of a 2D plan.
Those objects move with a force, and attract each other.
When 2 objects of the same size collide, they fuse to create a bigger object.
Player Mechanics :
The player can move the mouse to the target position on the playground. He can :
Gravity point : by pressing the right mouse, place a physical sphere, unmovable, with a high gravity power. The player can place 6 Gravity points this way, or remove it
Gravity cursor : by maintaining left mouse button press, the cursor becomes a solid sphere with a high attract power
